Use CRANFOS Cyclone Technology to Optimize Gas Purification and Particle Separation!

Through the use of the concept of centrifugal movements, CRANFOS cyclones aim to separate gas from the particulate matter present in it.

The inlet at the top of the equipment is made to direct the gas flow tangentially towards the internal walls of the equipment. At this moment, the gas begins to perform a centrifugal movement in a spiral silhouette towards the bottom of the equipment. This movement provides the particulate with the centrifugal force necessary to travel along the path along the internal surface of the cyclone. At the end of the path (bottom of the equipment), it is possible to capture the particulate using special discharge and sealing valves.

The gas continues its path without the particulate matter present in the equipment’s path and with the possibility of being treated more easily so that it can be emitted into the environment without major problems.

Depending on the customer’s needs, different arrangements with several cyclones in line or in parallel can be created for greater particle retention efficiency. The new arrangements are arranged to take up the minimum space in the customer’s installation.

In dimensioning and design, the type of process and composition of the gas and particulate matter are taken into consideration, and special materials may be used to prevent corrosion and/or wear of the internal walls and other items that come into contact with the gas.
